Where the sea meets the table
Our Story
La Nostra Padrona sits at the edge of the sea in Marsaxlokk, one of the most beautiful fishing villages in the Mediterranean. From our terrace at 87 Xatt is-Sajjieda, you look out over the painted luzzijiet that have defined this harbor for generations — and the catch they bring in each morning defines what appears on your plate.
This is a restaurant shaped by its surroundings: the salt air, the pace of a village that still lives by the rhythm of the tide, and a kitchen that treats simplicity as the highest form of craft.
Our Philosophy
We believe the best Mediterranean cooking begins at the source — with fish still cool from the sea, herbs cut that morning, and olive oil pressed from nearby groves. Our kitchen works with what the day provides, building each dish around the ingredient rather than the other way around.
The menu spans the full breadth of Mediterranean seafood — from delicate crudo and hand-rolled pasta to whole fish grilled over charcoal — alongside select cuts of premium meat for those who prefer land to sea. Every plate is prepared with care, served without pretense, and meant to be shared.
At La Nostra Padrona, every meal is an experience by the sea.
The Setting
Our dining room opens directly onto the Marsaxlokk promenade, where the harbor light shifts from gold to blue as the evening unfolds. The interior draws on the coastal character of the village — warm stone, soft lighting, and details that nod to the maritime heritage just outside the door.
Whether you join us for a long lunch watching the boats come in, a quiet dinner as the sun sets over the water, or a celebration with the people who matter most, La Nostra Padrona is the kind of place where time moves a little slower and every course is worth savoring.
Reserve your table and let us share the flavors of the Mediterranean with you.
